Beyond Global Recognition: Menguatkan Fondasi Organisasi Menuju World-Class Entrepreneurial University

Sejak berdiri pada 1954, Universitas Airlangga dibentuk oleh amanah Tri Dharma: pendidikan, penelitian, dan pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Nilai-nilai integritas, keunggulan yang bermoral, kolaborasi lintas disiplin, serta keberpihakan pada kemajuan publik terus menuntun langkah kami. Dari akreditasi yang kuat hingga ekosistem riset dan inovasi yang produktif, dari pengabdian yang menjangkau berbagai pelosok hingga alumni yang memimpin perubahan di pemerintahan, industri, dan masyarakat umum semuanya menjadi akar prestasi yang kokoh dan memberi dasar bagi lompatan berikutnya.
Namun, zaman bergerak cepat. Kompetisi perguruan tinggi berlangsung pada panggung yang tanpa batas; teknologi berubah dalam hitungan musim; ekonomi berbasis pengetahuan kian dominan; dan ukuran keberhasilan tidak lagi berhenti pada publikasi, melainkan dampak: solusi yang dipakai industri, kebijakan yang menyentuh publik, usaha rintisan yang membuka lapangan kerja, serta praktik kesehatan yang menyelamatkan nyawa. Tradisi unggul saja tidak memadai bila tidak disertai lompatan organisasi yang menyeluruh. Di sinilah buku ini mengambil posisi: menempatkan penguatan fondasi organisasi Universitas Airlangga sebagai titik tolak.
Penguatan itu mencakup tata kelola yang agile agar keputusan lebih cepat dan sumber daya mengikuti prioritas; sistem talenta yang kompetitif dan terukur untuk dosen, peneliti, dan tenaga kependidikan; pemanfaatan data dan teknologi digital sebagai mesin eksekusi kebijakan; rantai nilai inovasi yang utuh dari laboratorium menuju paten, lisensi, startup, dan kebijakan publik; serta internasionalisasi yang bermakna pada kolaborasi riset, mobilitas talenta, kurikulum bertaraf global yang membangun reputasi melalui kontribusi, bukan sekadar peringkat. Dengan fondasi demikian, Universitas Airlangga menapaki jalan menjadi World-Class Entrepreneurial University: unggul dalam sains sekaligus menghasilkan nilai ekonomi dan sosial bagi bangsa dan dunia. “Beyond Global Recognition” mengingatkan bahwa pengakuan internasional adalah akibat, bukan tujuan; konsekuensi dari sistem yang benar dan kerja yang berdampak.
