Synopsis

Seorang dokter gigi yang akan menangani rehabilitasi senyum yang kurang estetik yang melibatkan koreksi komponen estetik  yang kompleks, harus memahami dan menerapkan prinsip rehabilitasi estetik sehingga senyum menjadi estetik, dengan penampilan lebih sempurna, indah, sehat, sehingga mempengaruhi keharmonisan senyum dan secara psikologis menimbulkan  percaya diri pada seseorang. Pada perkembangan tentang estetik gigi, desain perbaikan estetik gigi mengalami perkembangan yang cukup signifikan, yaitu dengan digital smile design (DSD) dengan menggunakan alat, bahan, teknologi yang canggih.            Pembahasan dalam buku ini juga mencakup tentang perkembangan desain senyum secara manual, digital maupun kombinasinya. Perkembangan desain senyum modern secara digital dapat menggunakan berbagai perangkat antara lain Photoshop CS6 (Adobe Systems Incorporated), Microsoft PowerPoint (Microsoft Office, Microsoft, Redmond, Washington, USA), Smile Designer Pro (SDP) (Tasty Tech Ltd), Aesthetic Digital Smile Design (ADSD - Dr. Valerio Bini), Cerec SW 4.2 (Sirona Dental Systems Inc.), Planmeca Romexis Smile Design (PRSD) (Planmeca Romexis®), Visagi SMile (Web Motion LTD), DSD App by Coachman (DSDApp LLC), Keynote (iWork, Apple, Cupertino, California, USA), Guided Positioning System (GPS),  DSS (EGSolution), Nemo DSD (3D), Exocad Dental CAD 2.3. , Digital SLR camera 6.
