Synopsis

The title “Examining Indonesia’s Strategic Role, Position, and
Interest in Indo-Pacific” was selected for the conference and this book
as the conference’s output with the aim to highlight the interconnection
between Indonesia’s foreign policy and the Indopacific region. In
recent years, Indopacific has become one of the most important regions
in world politics, marked by the growing attention of the great powers
toward this area. In that sense, it is essential to analyze how Indonesia,
which is geographically located at the heart of the region, has and
should navigate to cope with the dynamics of the region. Indonesia’s role, position, and interests are then some of the elements of its foreign
policy toward the Indopacific that become the focus of this book.
